A place for music:

Our new Music Director, Anne Mette Iversen, is a classically trained bassist with many musical gifts to share. She has allready revitalized our worship music, and begun a series of monthly jazz concerts featuring professional musicians from our area.

A place for learning:

Regular Sunday School, with confirmation and new member classes as needed. Spanish classes offered on Saturdays. Call the church office, 201-568-3370, for more information.

A place for fun:

The local community has gathered at West Side for our Back-to-School Sunday, The Great Easter Egg Hunt, and other yearly events which bring families together for fun and fellowship. We proudly sposor one of NJ's longest-running Boy Scout troops.

A place for all!

In Fall 2009, West Side Presbyterian Church in Englewood launched a monthly concert series, which was a great musical success. This Spring, the series continues with three concerts in April, May and June 2010. The West Side congregation invites everyone to come and enjoy the excellent concerts that we offer to the community, with local and  world-class musicians, and support and build this cultural initiative.

West Side Presbyterian Church, 192 W. Demarest Ave., Englewood, NJ, proudly presents a free solo recital by the rising young classical pianist Eric Clark on Saturday, May 22, 2010, at 4:00 PM. Mr. Clark,  24 years old, has been heard throughout much of the USA and Italy. An avid chamber musician, he has played chamber music concerts in Pittsburgh’s Carnegie Music Hall and at Severance Hall in Cleveland.

On SATURDAY, APRIL 17, at 7:30 PM, West Side Presbyterian Church of Englewood, 192 W. Demarest Ave., launches its Spring Concert Series with NICKI DENNER and her LATIN JAZZ TRIO! Pianist/composer/ arranger Nicki Denner has performed with many notable musicians, including Sheila E., Candido, and Doc Severinsen; her trio's debut recording, "Moliendo Cafe," was named one of the Top Ten Picks of 2006 in Latin Beat magazine. There wll be a Q & A session with the performers, and refreshments will be available at intermission.

Acclaimed musician and saxophonist Hayes Greenfield brings us his special Jazz-A-Ma-Tazz program for children and a 1-set regular jazz concert as well. Jazz-A-Ma-Tazz brings smiles to the faces of kids and adults, motivating and inspiring them to take a risk, try something new, and discover the wonderful world of jazz. And Hayes Greenfield Quartet follows with a spirited and enthusiastic jazz performance.
Contra-alto Hanne Ladefoged-Dollase will join and sing at the Worship Service Nov 29, first Sunday of Advent. 12 PM.
Xavier Davis Trio, Saturday Nov 14, 7:30PM The third concert of West Side's concert series. Tickets at the door or reservations at 212-568-3370 or here at the website. Price is $25 and $10 for students and senior citizens. Church members discount rate is $15.
